Ashmi Mridul is an artist and interaction designer passionate about making art and design more accessible by bringing it into the public realm. She creates interactive and participatory installations, performances and workshops engaging with several communities across India, Berlin and London. Together with Public Art she is developing translocal projects in the field of digital crafting and climate change which also includes the Renewable Energy Workshop with children. She also created the urban media art campaign with the refugees for Digital Calligrafitti in 2017.
Ashmi grew up in India, in a small city called Jodhpur and moved to London to study Interaction Design Arts at the London College of Communication. Situated in-between multiple places, she has taken a keen interest in studying the impacts of geography and migration on human identity. She exhibited her work at the Science Museum in London and art fairs and festivals in India.
