Bringing Light to Abandoned Spaces Across Europe
After the successful Light Art Workshop in Berlin, Cultural Radiance now enters its next phase with an open call for light artists. This initiative, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, aims to transform abandoned and historically significant spaces across Europe through light-based artworks.
In collaboration with COLLOC (Hungary), Valoparta (Finland), and Sérum (Slovakia), Cultural Radiance offers artists the opportunity to showcase their work at major light art festivals. Public Art Lab (Germany) will host exhibitions in Berlin, in partnership with Collegium Hungaricum Berlin and Monopol Berlin as event venues.
We invite artists working with light as a medium, including projections, projection mapping, interactive installations, immersive experiences, light sculptures, and kinetic light installations. Selected artworks should respond to the themes of transformation, heritage, and public engagement and can be either site-specific or adaptable for different locations.
Key Details:
- Application Deadline: 30 April 2025
- Open to artists based in Europe
- Exhibition Period: August – December 2025
- Support: Selected artists will receive a fee and production budget
This is a unique opportunity to be part of an international network of light artists and curators while engaging with diverse audiences across multiple European cities.
