Open Call: Ecology and Biodiversity
The ECHO Academy is coming to Berlin! In collaboration with the University of Europe, Public Art Lab Berlin invites you to join a transformative program focusing on the themes of ecology and biodiversity. This Academy invites you to explore biodiversity loss, reconnection with nature, and how art can foster environmental awareness and activism.
ECHO is a dynamic European initiative that engages young people with democracy through art and culture. Led by DE/MO (NL), ECHO unites partners across Europe, including Bios (GR), Espronceda (ES), Fine Acts (BU), and Public Art Lab (DE), to address five critical societal urgencies: AI, climate change, biodiversity, democracy, and migration.
What’s Included:
- A 12-week program (April–June 2025) with engaging workshops and expert mentorship.
- Opportunities to collaborate with professionals in the fields of ecology and design.
- A chance to showcase your project in Berlin.
- An official certificate of participation.
Key Dates:
- Application Deadline: January 26, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
- Design Sprint: April 20–25, 2025 (attendance required).
We are looking for individuals with a passion for ecology, art, and design, eager to create impactful work that reimagines our connection with the natural world.
