Susa Pop is appointed for the international jury of the City Digital Skin Art Festival organised by the China Academy of Art / Department Public Space Art.
This year’s competition invites distinctive imagination from participating artists on the theme “Look Up!”
The curatorial theme describes: ”Looking up is a posture and an attitude about life. From ancient to contemporary times, looking up at the stars has been a matter of contemplation and reflection, a way of life. However, “looking down”, opposite to looking up, is common in contemporary society. Looking up is to turn our eyes from private space to public space carried by urban skin. The competition gathers people to look up. Together we go upward and forward, and head for the future.”
The selected media art works will be presented on massive digital infrastructures in the city of Hanghzou at the Wulin Square, Gonglian City Center, and an immersive indoor screen at the Hangzhou Desaix Life Art Museum as well as in Shenzhen Big Sign in June 2023.
