susa pop @ illuminations of wedding

With the three day event Illuminations of Wedding the creative resource center SUPERMARKT will explore the notion of neighborhood with a particular focus on the district Wedding and its impact on the local community, artistic processes and works. The event consists of a workshop, a panel and an exhibition, the latter featuring amongst others a site-specific facade mapping by AUTO64 and an LED-Throwie installation by the renown Graffiti Research Lab. Both projects serve as cases for the panel on Saturday where Susa Pop, the Canadian artist Malcolm Levy and a representative of the Graffiti Research Lab Germany will discuss forms of urban expressionism, and the role of technologically-mediated interventions for evolving communities.

The discussion starts on Saturday, 26th January, 15.00 h.
Venue is the SUPERMARKT, Brunnenstraße 64, 13355 Berlin. Train station: Voltastraße (U8). To attend please email rsvp[a]supermarkt-berlin.net. This event is also on Facebook.

Illuminations of Wedding
is part of the reSource 003:P2P Vorspiel, the prelude to the transmediale and Club Transmediale Festivals, starting on the 29th January.
