Joana Szlauderbach

Joanna worked as freelance curator and cultural manager. Her involvement with Public Art Lab included the coordination of Connecting Cities Network, City Visions Jena festival as well as the development of new international projects. Before graduating in Cultural Science at the University of Hildesheim (Diploma) and in Marseille in Médiation Culturelle des Arts Contemporains (B.A.) she studied Business Management at the University of Cologne.

She is specialised in arts based on new technologies, favouring interdisciplinary approaches, DIY solutions, bio-tech innovations and intercultural exchange. Always following her passion, she was professionally involved in various international media art festivals in France, UK and Germany. She also gained experience in art galleries, art exhibitions, art agencies as well as in the editorial sector. Joanna initiated various lab formats, e.g. CYNETART Pop-Up City, Interlab: Cairo – Dresden, OSTRALE.klanglabor or DAVE Community Level. She was member of various juries and contributed texts to exhibition catalogues.
