MUTEK Lab : 30th May 2012, 14:45h – 16.15h

Together with some of our international project partners, Susa Pop was invited to introduce the European Urban Media Network for Connecting Cities, aimed at creating a network of urban media facades to circulate creative and social content, at MUTEK Fetival 2012. From 2012 to 2016, the network will test this infrastructure through three Connecting Cities events: the Networked City, the Participatory City and the Visible City in the frame of the EU Culture Programme 2007-2013.

Panel: The Networked, the Participatory and the Visible City
Connecting Cities network members discuss the role of urban media facades for our cities as visualisation and communication platforms. Acting as interfaces between the digital and the physical world, these facades engage the public in participatory processes and thus create a novel awareness of public space

Panelists & Presenters:
Susa Pop (Public Art Lab/DE)
Gernot Tscherteu (Media Architecture Group, mai/AT)
Mike Stubbs (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology, FACT/UK)
